1-1 Meetings | How does it work?
1-1 meetings are powered by MeetMax; the 1×1 meeting tool used by trade shows and conferences around the world, to allow attendees request meetings with other, and arrive at the event with a schedule of pre-booked appointments. This allows them to use their time more productively onsite – and to get far more value from the event. Using its web application and mobile App, MeetMax let attendees see who else is coming, view profiles for them, and make targeted requests – which can be accepted or declined. Accepted meeting have a specific time and place.
Decide if you want to take part – or if you would prefer to opt out. No one has to take part if they don’t want to.
If you do – complete your profile. This describes you to other attendees, so you only receive meeting invitations from people who know what you do.
Profiles vary from participant to participant, but you will always be asked to describe what industry sectors match your interest, social media links, a bio or company profile, a picture or logo.
Companies will additionally have the opportunity to enter detailed product information, with descriptions, pictures or videos.
You can use the category filters to find people who match your interests.
You can also browse through list of people and companies and just check out the profiles, and see who catches your interest.
Or you can search for specific companies or search the profile descriptions for keywords that identify someone of interest.
Once you come across people or companies you’d like to meet – the next step is to invite them to meet. Just click the Request link. Add a message about why you’d like to meet. And hit send.
That’s all. When they respond, you will get an email. If they accept, you will see the time and place.
All of the requests you send are listed under a “Sent” tab – so you can review them whenever you wish.
When people invite you to meet, you will receive an email. You can respond to the invitation right form the email, without having to login again. Accept or decline.
Additionally, when you login back into the meeting platform, the entry dashboard will remind you of any unanswered requests you have received. And a tab for “Received” requests will allow you to respond to them all from there.
The end result of all this – you will have a schedule of confirmed meetings that you can review at any time. If you get overbooked – you can always reschedule or cancel any of your meetings.
