This presentation will detail mechanical and thermal properties of the material along with a methodology to predict and verify thermal performance in system. Thermal conductivity is measured using a heat flow meter with a variation on the two-thickness method. A COMSOL model and simple resistance network will be presented to predict performance across a range of conditions. Results from benchtop reference design testing will be shared which verify specific conditions of interest from the models. Finally, an application example will be shared highlighting system performance improvement using insulation in combination with graphite.
